ST. SHARBEL BROWN SCAPULARJoseph Makhlouf was born in 1828 at Beqa-Kafra, Lebanon. At the age of 23, Charbel (the name he chose when entering Novitiate) left his closely knit family to enter the Lebanese-Maronite Monastery called Notre-Dame de Mayfouk. Following studies and profession at St. Cyprian de Kfifane Monastery, he was ordained in 1859. For the next seven years, Charbel lived in the mountainous community of Anaya. After that he spent the next twenty-three years in complete solitude at Sts. Peter and Paul Hermitage near Anaya. He died there on Christmas Eve, 1898. He was beatified in 1965 by Pope Paul VI and canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1977. Feast Day: 24 July Hand made in the U.S.A. Durable 100% wool.

MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL BROWN SCAPULARSt. Michael (Hebrew "Who is like God?") is one of the principal angels; his name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers. Four times his name is recorded in Scripture: Daniel 10:13; Daniel 12:1; Jude 1:9; Revelation 12:7. St. Michael is given four offices: 1. To fight against Satan. 2. To rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the enemy, especially at the hour of death. 3. To be the champion of God's people, the Jews in the Old Law, the Christians in the New Testament; therefore he was the patron of the Church, and of the orders of knights during the Middle Ages. 4. ST JUDE BROWN SCAPULARJude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is generally identified with Thaddeus. He is sometimes identified with Jude, "brother of Jesus", but is clearly distinguished from Judas Iscariot, another disciple, the betrayer of Jesus. He is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes. Saint Jude's attribute is a club. He is also often shown in icons with a flame around his head. This represents his presence at Pentecost, when he received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. Another common attribute is Jude holding an image of Jesus Christ, in the image of Edessa. RED PASSION SCAPULAR OF THE PASSIONThe Red Scapular of the Passion of Our Lord and the Sacred Hearts and Jesus and Mary is a scapular associated with the Lazarists. It is often just called the Scapular of the Passion or simply the Red Scapular. The scapular and its bands must be made of red wool and unlike most scapulars it is adorned with specifically described images which are essential to it. One side of the scapular shows a crucifix, some of the Instruments of the Passion, and the words "Holy Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ Save Us." The other side depicts a small cross above the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary plus the words "Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, protect us." GREEN SCAPULARIn addition to the Miraculous Medal, the Blessed Virgin Mary chose to use St. Vincent de Paul's Daughters of Charity to reveal a second great sacramental: the Green Scapular. Mary appeared to Sister Justine Bisqueyburu in Paris, France, on 28 January 1840. Actually the fifth of a series of apparitions, Justine was given the design of a new scapular. ST. PADRE PIO BROWN SCAPULARSt. Padre Pio, named Francesco in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, was born to peasant farmers in the small Italian village of Pietrelcina on 25 May 1887. Francesco became a Capuchin novice at the age of sixteen and received the habit in 1902. St. Pio was the first stigmatized priest in the history of Church. St. Pio also had the gift of bilocation and the ability to read souls. On his death bed, he was unable to say the Hail Mary, but he repeated over and over again the names Jesus and Maria. About 2:30, he opened his eyes very wide and said: "I see two mothers." (His earthly mother and his Heavenly Mother.) As he exhaled his last breath, he whispered: "Maria." In 1531 a "Lady from Heaven" appeared to a humble Native Mexican named Juan Diego at Tepeyac, a hill northwest of what is now Mexico City. She identified herself as the ever virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the True God for whom we live, of the Creator of all things, Lord of heaven and the earth. OUR LADY OF FATIMA BROWN SCAPULARThe Our Lady of Fatima commemorates the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children at Fatima in Portugal in 1917. These occurred on the 13th day of six consecutive months in 1917, starting on May 13. The three children were Lucia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto. Our Lady instructed all Christians to pray daily the Rosary as part of the last remedy to be given from heaven until the end of the world for the conversion of sinners, the conquering of heresies, and the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart; thus bringing peace in the world.
